Hello Priscilla,
It's that time of year again when I can carve some "white space" on my calendar, to sit and reflect on my personal and professional goals, measure my results, and make plans for continual improvement in the New Year.
I am well aware I am one of the lucky people in Maine who have a warm, dry home - despite the powerful storm that swept through the area on Monday. Today, as I gratefully sip my hot coffee and sit in reflection I wonder: What would we do if there was no one willing to leave their families for days on end, during the Holiday season, to fire up their trucks, start up their chainsaws, and work in cold, dangerous conditions to move broken trees and restore our power? Where would we be if no one knew how to run the backhoes, loaders, and excavators to clear and rebuild our roads? How would we survive without our first responders, firefighters, water rescue, and life-flights keeping us out of harm's way, and rescuing us when we find ourselves in troubled waters? What would we do without our blue-collar workers?
You inspire me daily to strengthen my resolve and live out my mission to help blue-collar businesses not only thrive, but to remove economic insecurity, lessen the sweat equity, and ensure you feel appreciated, supported, and have every resource available to succeed.
And so, my Christmas wish this year is the ability to reach all of you who are out there doing the hard work to let you know my deep, heartfelt gratitude and appreciation. Here's to a prosperous, successful, and SAFE New Year...
